Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 Review

Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 Review

Introduction

The Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 is a versatile evolution of the classic Hack model, endorsed by Paquito Navarro. While still a high-performance racket designed for advanced players, the Hybrid version offers a more balanced feel compared to the regular Hack 04. The biggest upgrade from the 2024 model is the new radial hole pattern, which enhances the sweet spot and overall feel, as well as the Total Air Channel Technology (which adds holes horizontally in the throat) for better maniability et feel.

If you’re an advanced or expert-level player who values a blend of control and power, this racket could be an excellent choice.

Design & Build Quality

  • Shape: Hybrid, combining control and power in a versatile package.
  • Materials: 15k carbon fiber for durability and stiffness, Multi-EVA core for a responsive feel.
  • Weight & Balance: 365-375g (tested at 366g), with a low balance that improves maneuverability for a heavy racket.
  • Grip & Comfort:
    • Equipped with Hesacore grip under an overgrip—a unique feature that some players love, while others may take time to adjust.
    • Durability issue: The overgrip moved after an hour of play, so adding an extra overgrip is recommended.
    • Features a full wrist strap for a secure and comfortable grip.

Performance on the Court

Power: 7/10

The 15k carbon fiber and Multi-EVA core provide a quick pop, but this is not a pure power racket. The Hybrid shape slightly reduces raw power compared to the regular Hack 04. If you need explosive power, you might prefer the Vertex or Xplo models.

Control: 9/10

This racket excels in precision and shot placement. The radial hole pattern increases accuracy, making it one of the most reliable rackets for controlled play. Once adjusted to its feel, it allows for precise volleys and defensive shots. As for spin, the 3D design doesn't feel that grippy on the ball but is still able to do something decent.

Maneuverability: 8/10

Due to its heavy build, it’s not the fastest racket at the net. However, the low balance makes it feel lighter in hand, improving playability. It performs best when swings are anticipated rather than rushed. The addition of the Total Air Channel is great for a "lighter" feel and compensate for the weight.

Comfort & Feel: 8/10

The Ease Vibe dampening system does a great job at absorbing vibrations, making it a comfortable racket despite its stiffness. Some feel is lost, but not enough to affect playability.

Sweet Spot: 9/10

One of the biggest improvements over past Hack models is the larger, more forgiving sweet spot. Historically, Hack rackets have been known for their stiffness, but the Hybrid version makes off-center hits more forgiving than ever before.

Strengths & Weaknesses

✅ Strengths:

✔️ Excellent control & shot precision.
✔️ Forgiving sweet spot for off-center hits.
✔️ Premium build quality with durable TriCarbon 18K construction.
✔️ Balanced performance—does many things well without being too specialized.

❌ Weaknesses:

Lacks elite power for aggressive smashers.
Heavy build makes it slower in quick net exchanges.
Expensive ($488), making it a premium option.
Overgrip durability issue—may need replacement after minimal use.

Comparison with Other Rackets

  • Bullpadel Hack 04 (Regular Model): The Hybrid version sacrifices some power for more control and forgiveness.
  • Bullpadel Vertex Hybrid: The Hack Hybrid leans more toward control, while the Vertex Hybrid is more attack-oriented.
  • Other Power Rackets (Vertex/Xplo): If you’re a left-sided, power-focused player, you may prefer a racket with a more aggressive power profile.
  • Similar racquets : Wilson Bela Pro 2.5, Head Speed Pro 2025, Babolat Tecnical Viper 2024

Value for Money

At $488, the Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 is an investment for serious players. It’s not the most expensive model, but it sits in the premium range. Given its high-quality construction and balanced playability, it offers good value for advanced players.

Who Should Buy It?

Final Verdict: 8.2/10
